POSITIONS

BIKE SHOP MECHANIC
Responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing bicycles, including motorized bikes and scooters brought in for service. This hands-on role ensures optimal equipment performance, safety, and longevity through routine maintenance, component replacement, and repair services. The bike mechanic delivers high-quality service to GT Recreation members and collaborates with staff to support the bike shop’s daily operations and continuous improvement.

CAMP COUNSELOR
Enjoy the benefit of a regular, weekday schedule, daily lunch, sponsored field trips around Atlanta, and the opportunity to expand your network with faculty and staff on campus. Counselors oversee 1st-8th graders at the Tech Wreck summer camp.

CLIMBING WALL ATTENDANT
Responsible for the overall operation of the climbing wall area including checking climbers in, belaying climbers, teaching climbing classes, monitoring climbers for safety, as well as the maintenance of the wall area including keep the gear and equipment clean and organized.

COMPETITIVE SPORTS OFFICE MANAGER
Responsible for assisting in the behind the scenes operations of sport clubs and intramural sports. This could include social media efforts, Campus Recreation vehicle rental/reservations assistance, and other duties as assigned by the Competitive Sports Coordinators.

EVENT SUPERVISOR
The Event Supervisor plays a significant role in coordinating and executing a diverse range of events on campus. This role is responsible for overseeing event logistics, delivering exceptional customer service, and ensuring the seamless operation of various activities. The Event Supervisor will working closely with event hosts, liaise with Campus Recreation staff, and occasionally act as the on-site representative during events.

FACILITY ATTENDANT
Play a significant role in maintaining a safe and pleasant environment for our patrons. This position is responsible for the smooth and efficient operations of Campus Recreation by overseeing access to the facility, ensuring cleanliness, and monitoring equipment checkout at the Main Issue desks on the first and fourth floors. This role also assists with bookings and equipment checkout at Peter’s Parking Deck.

INTRAMURAL OFFICIAL
Provide a safe, fun and fair environment for teams to participate in intramural sports. Previous officiating experience is helpful, although not required as we provide training for all sports. The only qualification is being open to learning something new. Be warned… Once you learn the art of officiating, you’ll never watch a sporting event the same again.

GROUP FITNESS INSTRUCTOR
Responsible for leading safe, effective, and engaging fitness classes at Georgia Tech Campus Recreation . The instructor will work with a diverse community of students, staff, and members to provide high-quality fitness instruction in a welcoming and inclusive environment. This position offers a great opportunity for experienced fitness professionals to inspire and motivate others to achieve their health and fitness goals.

LEADERSHIP CHALLENGE COURSE TECHNICIAN
Responsible for providing participants with an experiential education-based program that allows groups to learn and expand skills in leadership and team development. Technicians do this through a variety of ground activities and use of the high ropes course.
*Please note staff in this position will work at heights of up to 30 feet and outside.

LIFEGUARD
Provide a safe environment for participants to enjoy Georgia Tech’s aquatic facilities. Lifeguards in our Spring 2026 season will get to guard the 2026 ACC and the NCAA Division 1 Swimming & Diving Championships
Red Cross Lifeguard Certification is required, but you can apply without certification and Campus Recreation will certify you. Join us at 5pm select Tuesdays for our open interviews!

MEMBER SERVICES SPECIALIST
The Member Services Specialist provides front-line customer service by assisting patrons with membership and program registrations, handling inquiries, and managing payments. This role also involves resolving issues in a positive and professional manner and staying informed about policies and services to support the Campus Recreation Center.

PERSONAL TRAINER
Personal Trainers provide outstanding service to Campus Recreation patrons enrolled in the personal training program. Campus Recreation only hires personal trainers who are certified by nationally recognized fitness organizations (ex. ACE, AFAA, ACSM). Learn more about Personal Training here.

SWIM INSTRUCTOR
Swim Instructors provide swimming instruction to youth and adult participants and keep the parents and/or participant informed of their progress. Instructors will lead group lessons, instructing a small group of participants through lessons, or private lessons, a 1:1 instruction period with a single participants. Previous swimming experience is highly recommended for aspiring swim instructors.

WILDERNESS OUTPOST ATTENDANT
Responsible for helping patrons register for Outdoor Recreation trips and a variety of outdoor equipment. Position responsibilities include helping customers choose the right gear, offering information and answering questions, and teaching them how to set up and use the gear. Outpost Attendant are also responsible for the maintenance of the equipment including cleaning, repairing, and organizing.

YOUTH CARE ATTENDANT
Love working with kids? Join our team as a Youth Care Attendant and help create a safe, playful, and welcoming environment for children while their parents enjoy Campus Recreation programs. Attendants lead games, activities, and free play, while ensuring safety and positive interactions
