Greg Durham joined Georgia Tech in July 2023 as the Director of Partnerships and Programs, bringing a wealth of experience in campus recreation and a passion for fostering meaningful student engagement.

Greg’s professional journey began at Millersville University of Pennsylvania, where he immersed himself in campus recreation, gaining experience in ropes courses, facilities management, and intramural sports.

After earning his bachelor’s degree at Millersville, Greg pursued a Master’s degree at The University of Wyoming, serving as a Graduate Assistant for Recreational Sports.

Following the completion of his graduate studies, he embarked on a seven-year tenure at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska.

At Creighton, Greg held multiple roles: Coordinator of Club Sports (2016-2017), Assistant Director of Competitive Sports (2017-2019), and Director of Recreation & Wellness (2019-2023). During his time there, he led several capital projects, overhauled programs, expanded the campus recreation staff, increased student participation, and facilitated a department-wide rebrand.

In his current role at Georgia Tech, Durham is dedicated to engaging with Tech’s diverse community of students, faculty, staff, and alumni. He is committed to fostering partnerships and delivering innovative programs that enhance the Georgia Tech experience.

Beyond his on-campus work, Greg has made significant contributions to NIRSA, the governing body for collegiate recreation. He has served as Director of Competition for National Basketball and Director of Officials for several Regional Basketball and Flag Football tournaments, and in 2020, he directed the first-ever NIRSA esports tournament. Additionally, he has served on the Board of Directors for NIRSA, shaping the association’s landscape.

Greg also officiates NCAA Division II basketball and has officiated multiple Nebraska State Championships, the Junior College National Tournament, and several conference tournaments.

Together with his fiancé, Hannah, and their dog Rory, Greg looks forward to fostering relationships and delivering quality programming to the Georgia Tech community.
