For those who purchased the Ground Package, contact the trip leader upon arrival. Rooms are available beginning at 4 p.m., but the trip leader may be able to get access earlier. A charge card will be needed for each room as a damage deposit.
Trip chaperones will meet those who purchased the plane package at the gate inside the airport. It is important to locate a chaperone to check in. Once in Denver, we will have a chartered bus to take us to the resort. The trip is roughly 3.5 hours from the airport, depending on weather. You will need to check with the Georgia Tech chaperones to find out where the bus will depart. Please collect your luggage and go directly to the bus. The bus will leave no later than one hour after the plane lands. These seats are initially reserved for those who purchase the plane package. We may have seats available on the bus for purchase at a later time.
Southwest group tickets are flight and date specific and cannot be used or exchanged for travel on other flights. The group leader will check the entire group in 24 hours in advance, however, you will pick up boarding passes at the ticket counter on the 16th. This means that travelers only need to arrive at the Atlanta airport and present their ID to the Southwest ticket counter and inform them you are with the Georgia Tech group.
Southwest allows two checked bags per person at no additional cost, provided baggage weight does not exceed 50lb. Federal law forbids the carriage of hazardous materials aboard aircraft in your luggage or on your person. Hazardous materials include explosives, compressed gases, flammable liquids and solids, oxidizers, poisons, corrosives, and radioactive materials.
