The CRC and HealthCheck Services, Inc. will be providing a convenient and reliable on-site Health Screening Program for you and your family members. These comprehensive screenings represent the laboratory tests usually associated with a preventive or annual physical examination performed in a doctor’s office.  They are used to detect such things as heart disease, liver problems, kidney disease, thyroid and nutritional disorders, cholesterol, diabetes, anemia, infections, prostate cancer, ovarian cancer, and more.

Technicians from HealthCheck Services will take a small blood sample from you. This sample will be processed by Quest Diagnostics. Quest is a reputable and national clinical laboratory that most physicians use. Your results will be reviewed by the Medical Director of HealthCheck Services, Inc., who is a licensed and practicing Georgia physician. You will receive your confidential test results and associated explanatory information within 7-10 days via first class mail. You may provide your physician with a copy of these test results to be used as part of your routine physical or to be placed in your permanent medical records. In addition, medical professionals from HealthCheck are available to answer you questions by telephone or email.

These screenings will take place on Wednesday, March 8 and Thursday, March 9 from 7 a.m. until 10 a.m. in CRC Room 240.  To make an appointment for yourself or family members, please visit mycrc.gatech.edu. Testing should take only 15 minutes of your time. You will need to fast for these tests and it is best to do so overnight. It is recommended that you drink plenty of water during your fast, and you may also have coffee or tea, nutrasweet and nondairy creamer, or diet soda. Please refrain from anything that has a nutritional value to it. For those who are not able to fast or would like additional information regarding the tests, please contact HealthCheck at 770.888.8988 or email to healthcheckservices@gmail.com.
