Costumes are always encouraged at the department of Campus Recreation’s (CRC) Halloween Holla 5K. This year, the best costume will take home our grand prize giveaway, a Yeti cooler. Come dressed in your ghostly ghoulish garments and enter for your chance to win!
At registration, contestants will be directed to the costume entry table for a photo and to fill out an information card. The CRC’s expert panel of judges will judge costumes on quality and creativity! The top five participants will be selected, and their photos will be posted to Facebook so the campus can decide on the winner. A like on Facebook equals one vote, and the person with the most votes takes home the prize. Voting will close at midnight on October 30, and the winner will be announced on Halloween.
The Halloween Holla 5K takes place Friday, October 27, 2017 and the racebegins at 7:30 a.m. Registration is free, and available online through mycrc.gatech.edu. Onsite registration will also be available on race day, however, all participants must register by 7 a.m. Online registration will close at 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, October 25.
All members of the Georgia Tech community are welcome to attend this event, including students, staff, faculty, alumni affiliates. Additionally, you do not need to be a member of the CRC to participate. The first 100 students to check in the morning of the event will win a free race t-shirt. Prizes will be awarded to the first place male and female finishers.
