International Spring Break Scuba Trip

The mission of the Georgia Tech Campus Recreation SCUBA program, in partnership with Georgia Tech Professional Education and the Division of Student Life is to educate and inspire environmental and multicultural awareness through our training and certification program.

How to Register:

  1. Visit
  2. Select 'memberships' and then the 2018 CRC International Scuba Trip membership

  3. Add the selection to your cart

  4. Once you set up your account and make your initial registration/deposit you will receive an email from Debbie Dorsey requesting additional information.

  5. The additional information includes any extras you need (certification fee, airfare option and/or equipment rental), plus your level of scuba certification.

  6.  After this information is obtained, a final invoice will be created to identify your actual balance owed if you had any extra’s, and then posted to your myCRC account.

  7. Pay all fees by Jan. 31, 2018; partial payments can be made through the scuba trip section of programs on



January 22, 2018: Last day to register for the trip + $500 per person deposit due.
February 16, 2018: Remaining balance due


Diver Package

» $1,725: Georgia Tech Students - excluding roundtrip airfare

» $1,825: Non-Georgia Tech Students - excluding roundtrip airfare

Non-Diver Package

» $1,090: Georgia Tech Students - excluding roundtrip airfare

» $1,190: Non-Georgia Tech Students - excluding roundtrip airfare

Certification Fee

» $125: Georgia Tech instructor(s) will be on the trip - fee includes checkout dives and certification paperwork for those needing to complete their Scuba 1 or Scuba 2/Advanced open water checkout dives for certification.

Airfare Options (not included in the package):

» $437.34: Group fare - Miami to Grand Cayman roundtrip. Responsible for getting to Miami on your own, or flying directly into Grand Cayman.

Equipment Rental (if needed)

» $75: Individuals not in the training program wanting to rent gear for the trip. Based on equipment availability, and not prorated per item.

*Participants in the Georgia Tech training program can check out equipment at no additional charge - do not pay for equipment if you're getting certified.

Cost Includes: 

» Seven night’s double occupancy accommodations, five days of 2-tank boat dives, USS Kittiwake and Stingray City dives (weather permitting),  Unlimited shore diving, free nitrox (for those certified), roundtrip Grand Cayman airport transfers to hotel, made-to-order breakfast and lunch daily, pizza party, island tour, trip t-shirt, and government tax and service charges.



» DAN Insurance required for all divers; proof of insurance required prior to departure.

Trip Insurance: 

» DAN or DiveAssure highly encouraged, but not required. No refunds available after 12/31/17.
